Regional Stores Manager, UNI
I am most proud of a project I managed where we save over 700 m³/day of water at Fonterra Maungaturoto. Now I work in the people space where I’m actively driving capability growth across a network of 70 skilled individuals.
The graduate programme enabled me to broaden my technical skillset. I was enabled to be a successful project manager in the upper north region and built a strong nation-wide network where I was able to participate in large-scale projects and programmes. Now I have the skillset to lead a team while I continue to apply my engineering skills in the manufacturing world.
While Fonterra is a large company with a large scope, its people and teams are surprisingly close and overlap often. Moreover, there is an overwhelming sense of investment from people into the success of Fonterra – it’s great to be a part of something bigger than oneself
There are several options available to people in Fonterra, and the graduate programme helped me identify the numerous paths ahead of me. I see myself expanding into roles with a nation-wide impact, solving some critical issues either in the energy, or more generally engineering fields.
