Richard Allen is Chief Executive Officer of Fonterra Co-operative Group, a role he has held since May 2026.
Richard has built his career with Fonterra and understands the important role the Co-op plays both for farmers here in New Zealand and its customers around the world. He is committed to maintaining the momentum in Fonterra’s performance, focused delivery of strategy and financial discipline that has been developed over recent years.
Richard’s most recent role was President Global Ingredients, responsible for Fonterra’s Ingredients sales, optimisation, risk management, trading and global manufacturing.
Since joining Fonterra in 2008, Richard has developed deep experience and knowledge of Fonterra’s international value chain and operations. His tenures as President Global Ingredients and President of the Atlantic region were marked by significant performance improvement in the Americas and Europe. Richard has also led Farm Source - the Co-op’s team of farmer engagement, sustainability and milk specialists - and the Farm Source rural retail network in New Zealand, along with time transforming Fonterra’s Foodservice business across Greater China.
Andrew is Chief Financial Officer for Fonterra Co-operative Group, appointed in August 2024. In addition to Finance, Andrew is also responsible for Strategy, Transformation, IT and Procurement.
Andrew first joined Fonterra in February 2023, making a significant contribution to the Co-operative as Commercial Director for Global Markets.
Prior to joining Fonterra, Andrew had an extensive career in Finance leadership, including as Chief Financial Officer at Simplot Australia, a leading diversified agribusiness, as well as various senior roles at Mondelez International, with responsibility across Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Arts degree with Joint Honours in Accounting and Economics from the University of Strathclyde, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Anna is the Chief Operating Officer for Fonterra, responsible for our New Zealand manufacturing sites and global supply chain operations, global engineering, technical, and global safety, quality and regulatory teams.
She re-joined the dairy industry in October 2022 as the Director, Global Supply Chain before moving into the Chief Operating Officer role in June 2023. She is also Chair of Kotahi Logistics.
Anna is an experienced business leader with a career spanning some of Australasia’s largest multinational companies across multiple industries including Fonterra, Carter Holt Harvey, Amcor, and Air New Zealand.
During her 16 years with Air New Zealand, Anna led commercial portfolios in the company’s Engineering, Group Supply Chain, Operations, Customer and Sales divisions including Air New Zealand Cargo, Property and Infrastructure, Sustainability and Procurement.
Anna is a past Board Director for the New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) and Board Trustee of Gladstone Primary School. She has a Bachelor of Science, Genetics and Microbiology degree from Massey University.
Elisa Giusti was appointed Chief Growth and Strategy Officer in June 2026, with responsibility for connecting Fonterra’s strategy across markets, products and the Co-op to accelerate growth.
She leads the integration of Fonterra’s market and product priorities with portfolio choices, innovation and global new business development, ensuring the Co‑operative moves with pace and clarity in increasingly complex markets.
Elisa joined Fonterra in 2019 as Director of Foodservice Marketing for Anchor Food Professionals and has since held leadership roles spanning marketing, strategy and innovation.
Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President, Global Ingredients Growth, where she led the delivery of Fonterra’s Ingredients and Trading plan and supported growth across key markets. Based in Chicago, she has built strong relationships with strategic customers and contributed to strengthening end-to-end value for farmer shareholders through the Co-op’s B2B businesses.
Before joining Fonterra, Elisa built a strong track record in the B2B food sector. At Bimbo Bakeries USA, she led the North American Foodservice business and drove marketing innovation and new business development.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University and has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
Kate was appointed as Managing Director People and Culture in August 2021.
She has oversight of the teams responsible for facilitating Fonterra’s people strategy including Culture and Wellbeing, Employment Relations, Leadership Development, Talent and Future Capabilities, Rewards and Global Mobility.
Kate first joined Fonterra in December 2020, making significant contribution to the Co-operative as Director of HR for COO, where she held responsibility for leading the HR function for Fonterra across NZ Manufacturing, Technical Excellence, Global Supply Chain, Global Sustainability, Global Quality & Safety, Category Strategy & Innovation and Information Technology.
Prior to joining Fonterra, Kate had extensive experience in Human Resources and Communications leadership, having held senior roles across these portfolios since 2001. Kate previously led a transformation of the People and Culture function at the BNZ. She also was appointed as the Chief People and Communications Officer with Fletcher Building Ltd. Kate was awarded the HRINZ HR person of the year in 2018 in recognition for her contribution to Fletcher Building.
Kate has a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and International Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology, both from the University of Auckland.
Matt was appointed Managing Director, Co-operative Affairs in early 2025, overseeing Governance, Risk & Audit, Communications, Brand Experience, Farm Source, Sustainability, External Affairs, Legal, and Māori Strategy.
Matt returned to Fonterra after serving as Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Waikato Management School at the University of Waikato for several years. From 2022 to 2024 Matt was also Chairman of the Dairy Companies Association of New Zealand.
Matt spent the earlier part of his career working at Fonterra in a range of senior roles. These included time leading global sales teams based out of Chicago, commercialising food service ingredients, and driving digital, financial and sustainability tools to support Fonterra's farmer shareholders. He completed his business degree at Georgetown University in Washington DC, and also studied at Sophia University in Tokyo and Victoria University in Wellington.
Teh-han oversees the Co-op’s Global Foodservice business along with the Greater China business. Greater China is one of the largest markets for Fonterra, accounting for roughly a third of the Co-op’s total business.
Prior to his appointment as President Global Foodservice, Teh-han has held a number of roles in the Co-operative, including Chief Executive Officer of the Greater China and President of Fonterra’s ingredients business, NZMP, in Greater China, and South and East Asia.
Teh-han has over 20 years of experience in China across a variety of industries and functions, including marketing, public relations, advertising, sales, and management roles in food, agriculture, commodities, FMCG, luxury goods, and hospitality sectors.
Prior to joining Fonterra in 2015, Teh-han was Chief Executive Officer of Louis Dreyfus Commodities China, where he doubled the business, expanded the company’s business lines, built and acquired production facilities, and was involved in establishing multiple joint-ventures including COFCO Agricultural Industry Investment Fund. Prior to Louis Dreyfus, Teh-han was Managing Director for Greater China for J.R. Simplot, a United States-based diversified agribusiness with farming and food processing operations in China.
Teh-han has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from California State University Northridge, and a Master’s degree, with honours, in International Management from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management.
