Fonterra recruiting for Cobden Beverages plant

2 MINUTE READ

Fonterra Australia’s Cobden plant is home to Australia’s favourite butter, Western Star Butter, and following an A$31 million expansion, it will soon be home to Australia’s best milk.

Our Cobden facility is currently undergoing an exciting transformation to install a state-of-the art milk processing facility to provide Woolworths Select fresh milk for Victoria for 10 years.

With the expansion underway and the plant due to be commissioned later in the year, Fonterra is now recruiting for the plant.

To learn more about the career opportunities, and the exciting developments at the Cobden plant, Fonterra is holding an Information Day on Saturday 21 February, between 10am and 2pm, at the Cobden Civic Centre.

Andrew Nooy, Regional Site Manager – West, Fonterra Australia, says our Cobden plant is expanding and we’re looking for the best people to grow our team.

“The new Beverages plant will create over 30 new jobs and have positive flow on effects to the local community.

“Fonterra has some of the best manufacturing jobs in the industry - people get to work with high-tech machinery and equipment, receive training and development opportunities, work with a values-based organisation and benefit from being part of a global Co-operative.

Fonterra is currently recruiting for Process & Packing Operators, and is also accepting applications for Forklift Drivers, Maintenance Electricians, Maintenance Fitters and Pasteuriser Operators with interviews for these roles taking place in the next few months.

“To hear more about the Beverages plant and the careers opportunities, we’re inviting people to come to our Information Day and meet with our people from the Cobden plant”, says Andrew.
