Global shared service centre
In 2015, we established a shared services centre in Puchong, Selangor to streamline our operations and enable us to get closer to our consumers and expand into key Asian growth markets more quickly.
The business service centre provides accounting, human resources, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) support to our operations across the world. It also serves as a regional centre of excellence for health and safety, procurement, and food safety and quality.
Our two manufacturing sites Dairymas and Susumas have the capacity to process 46,000 metric tonnes of New Zealand dairy products every year. In 1996, Malaysia became the regional packing centre for Fonterra's milk powder brands.
Around 40 per cent of our products manufactured in Malaysia are exported to 13 countries across Asia and the Middle East.
Employing 220 people, our Dairymas site is one of the biggest liquid dairy processing sites in Malaysia.
The facility was built in 1999 to meet the country’s growing appetite for yoghurt and UHT dairy products.
The site processes around 10,000 metric tonnes of liquid dairy per year, turning it into CalciYum yoghurts and milk drinks, Solivite milk drink and Anlene yoghurts.
Fonterra’s Susumas site located at the Subang Hi-Tech Industrial Park was built in 1992.
Susumas has a total capacity of around 30,000 metric tonnes per year and blends and packs milk powder products for leading consumer brands including Anlene, Anmum (Materna, Lacta, Essential), and Fernleaf.
