Fonterra Grass Roots Fund

The Fonterra Grass Roots Fund supports New Zealand communities where we operate by funding their smart ideas, projects and initiatives.

At Fonterra we value the communities that we are part of.  The Fonterra Grass Roots Fund is our way of giving back to these communities, by supporting the projects, ideas and initiatives that bring our communities together.

Through the Fonterra Grass Roots Fund, community groups are invited to apply for grants of $500 to $5,000. These grants are offered to support projects that will help bring their community together, and make it a better, safer, more vibrant place to live. Since the fund began we have provided over 2500 grants. These include grants to school groups, educational groups, charitable trusts, sports clubs and local emergency services for a wide range of environmental, community and health and safety initiatives.

Grants of $500 to $5,000 to community groups seeking a helping hand.

Applications are now closed. Follow us on Facebook for updates on the programme.

Giving back to our community volunteers

Every year, thousands of New Zealanders volunteer their time to give back to their communities. The Fonterra Grass Roots fund recognises that in order for these volunteers to make a difference in the lives of people, they need the support and generosity of organisations like us. We are proud to support groups all across New Zealand in making our communities safer.
