Meet our Sustainability Experts: Linda Mulvihill
"I often think about the world I want my kids to grow up in. I try to make choices aligned with the future I want, such as restoring hillsides on my own farm, living off-grid, and growing food in a big orchard and veggie garden."
For Linda Mulvihill, sustainability is both personal and professional.
As General Manager of Energy & Climate, Linda leads the team responsible for improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions across Fonterra's manufacturing operations. The work is helping support the Co-op's target to reduce Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by FY30 (from a FY18 base year).
With more than 13 years in the role, Linda oversees Fonterra's strategy to decarbonise its manufacturing network while maintaining access to reliable, cost-effective energy.
Addressing climate change is an important part of ensuring a sustainable future for both the Co-op and New Zealand.

Fonterra's decarbonisation programme includes improving energy efficiency and transitioning manufacturing sites away from fossil fuels, helping reduce emissions across the Co-op's operations.
For Linda, being part of that transformation is one of the most rewarding aspects of her role.
