Along with local farming family the Hintons and Richie McCaw, Tauwhare school’s pupils and staff help tell the story of one of New Zealand’s biggest community programmes. It’s one of 1450 primary schools on the programme, which provides free milk to over 140,000 students every school day thanks to the generosity of Fonterra farmers.

The videos are currently playing on national television and run for the next few weeks.

“The reaction when they saw themselves and their friends on screen was just gold, everyone was beaming from ear to ear,” said Tauwhare principal Fiona Bradley. “It’s just got such beautiful messages and everyone looked thrilled and happy to be part of it.

Watch as Fonterra’s Phil and Courtney meet Fiona, Fonterra farmer Dan Hinton and some of the Tauwhare kids who feature in the videos.
