Making food connections in Manila

Last month our Anchor Food Professionals team in the Philippines was busy showing off our New Zealand dairy goodness and making connections at a range of events organised by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

At Food Connection Manila 2017, the team hosted an exhibition booth where they met with retail and foodservice buyers, media and bloggers; while Anchor rose to the challenge as a star ingredient in a competition testing student chefs to create delicious dishes with New Zealand products.

But where Anchor Food Professionals really shone was when the team whipped up an exclusive cooking demonstration at a dinner held at the Ambassador’s residence, organised by Fonterra and the New Zealand embassy.

Philippines Foodservice Director Leah Barin says the events were invaluable opportunities for Anchor Food Professionals to impress prospective customers with our New Zealand heritage and expertise in dairy.

“New Zealand is one of the best places in the world to produce dairy and it was great to be able to demonstrate the high quality of our products and solutions to companies in the Philippines.

“We established relationships with customers across the three events, enabling us to stretch our market leadership in the foodservice industry where we already supply 2,600 food and beverage establishments across the country,” says Leah.
