Chipping in on Cianjur

1 MINUTE READ

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake shook Indonesia’s most populated island Cianjur, West Java a few weeks ago and tremors were felt as far away as Jakarta (about 107 kilometres).

The earthquake claimed more than 300 lives, injured thousands, destroyed buildings and infrastructure, and displaced more than 73,000 people, who unfortunately found themselves homeless overnight.

Fonterra Brands Indonesia are helping to support ongoing earthquake relief efforts in Cianjur, West Java, where access to basic food necessities has been constrained.

We’ve joined hands with NGO Jabar Bergerak to contribute more than 6,000 products of Anlene, Anmum and Anchor Boneeto to help the local community meet their nutritional needs.

Nisa Rahmani, Corporate Communications, Fonterra Brands Indonesia said that it was moments like this that remind us of how lucky we are to champion purposeful brands that do good for people.

We know dairy can make a difference. We look forward to the community’s recovery and stand by our continuous pursuit to bring goodness in every phase of life.
