Not all gases are created equal

Gases that trap heat in the atmosphere are called greenhouse gases.

There are three main gases, Carbon Dioxide (CO₂), Methane (CH₄) and Nitrous Oxide (N₂O), each with their own characteristics.

We’ve taken a closer look at each of the gases, where they come from and how long they’re likely to hang around for to help you understand why some people think we should be treating each gas differently.
