Fonterra has taken home an impressive 47 gongs at the Dairy Industry Association of Australia (DIAA) Australian Dairy Product Awards.

Of these 47 awards, Fonterra’s Cobden site won 20 for its dairy products, including trophies for the highest scoring salted butter and pasteurised milk, as well as five golds and 10 silvers for products including Western Star butter and cream.

Fonterra Regional Operations Manager – West, Kevin Brown, said these awards confirm the quality of Fonterra’s dairy foods made in Cobden – the home of Western Star – and the quality of milk supplied by farmers in western Victoria.

“It’s fantastic that our skilled teams have been recognised for their expert craft and the quality dairy they produce.

“We are extremely proud of the exceptional dairy foods made in western Victoria and are grateful this has been recognised by experts in the industry.

“We’ve got some of the best dairy know-how in the business, which is the key to making great-tasting, quality dairy foods Australians love.

“Congratulations to our people who strive to maintain the highest quality dairy, and our dedicated farmers who supply us with the best milk for the job,” said Kevin.

The awards are hosted annually by DIAA and act as a gateway to the Australian Grand Dairy Awards. Entries are judged on technical merit by industry experts selected for their specific dairy product knowledge.
