The targets we’ve set, and the work we’re doing to achieve those targets, underline how we’re working towards being sustainable in everything we do, from farm to consumer.
We believe protecting and restoring the environment is critical to safeguard opportunities for future generations. To achieve this we’re working to develop the skills, knowledge and systems to regenerate the environment throughout our global value chain.
Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time. We’re committed to reducing our use of fossil fuels in transport and manufacturing and finding ways to manage and mitigate animal emissions on farms.
We want to play our part in achieving ‘zero waste’ and that means considering what happens to the packaging we use and how we eliminate waste across our supply chain.
We support our local communities in a wide range of ways, including support at times of need, long-term in-school nutrition, donations to food banks, international dairy development, and community investment.
We have the opportunity to influence for good. In terms of procurement, this means working to source goods and services produced in an environmentally and socially responsible way that positively influences behaviours in our supply chain.
We are committed to managing animals responsibly and continuously improving animal welfare outcomes through promotion of positive experiences as described by the ‘Five Domains’, as well as eliminating practices that contravene the ‘Five Freedoms’.
Our 2021 Sustainability Performance Report underlines our commitment to sustainability, while also recognising there is more work to be done.
