Spring’s quiet hum: Photos that capture the rhythm of life on farm

3 MINUTE READ

In spring, dairy country hums with a quiet rhythm.

Dew settles on the pastures before the morning sun melts it away. Calves fill the yards, birds call from the gums, and farmers walk the same well-worn paths their families have followed for generations.

It’s a season that reflects everything good about Australian agriculture – connection to land, care for animals, and the balance between people and nature.

This year, thanks to the Fonterra Australia Suppliers’ Council (FASC) photo competition, our farmers have shared a snapshot of that life – moments that remind us why they do what they do. Thank you to our suppliers who opened a window into their world.

Congratulations to Cassandra Custance, whose photo stood out among so many stunning entries. We’re proud to showcase these images as part of our recognition of National Agricultural Day this Friday 21 November 2025. Every drop of milk begins here, fuelling our nation with the goodness of dairy and celebrating Australia’s incredible farming sector.
