Local community groups get a leg-up thanks to the Fonterra Grass Roots Fund

From unearthing the next Shane Warne, Dean Jones or Cameron White at the Dennington Cricket Club to supporting budding architects and engineers at Ulverstone Primary School on Tasmania’s north coast, over 40 deserving community groups across Victoria and Tasmania will receive a leg-up from the latest round of funding from the Fonterra Grass Roots Fund.

Since 2011, we’ve supported almost 450 initiatives which help our local communities thrive. The Fund is our way of providing much-needed funds to support the valuable work they do for our farming families and their neighbours, and our people.

The projects that are making a real impact in this round range from worm farms to chicken coops, and recycling bins to fire safety programs. Congratulations to the 2019 recipients, we can’t wait to see your initiatives come to life throughout the year.
