Double win for Fonterra at HR Awards

Fonterra has picked up two wins at the 2019 NZ HR Awards which celebrate excellence within New Zealand’s human resources community.

An innovative learning programme called Thrive, which helps staff gain a better understanding of Fonterra’s end-to-end supply chain with the help of gamification, earned the Co-operative the Talent Acquisition/Development & Management Award.

Meanwhile amp – a platform that’s connecting the organisation’s employees with new internal projects using a gig-economy type approach – was recognised with the HR Innovation Award.

Both initiatives are aimed at helping employees with their career development with other benefits including lifting engagement and bringing in innovative ideas from more diverse groups.

The below videos give some insight into what Thrive and amp are all about.

Fonterra was also a finalist in the Learning and Development Capability category while Kate Shirley was shortlisted for Emerging HR Practitioner of the Year.

The 20th annual awards organised by the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand were held at SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre on Thursday 28 February.
