The People's Room: Providing quality of work and life for Fonterra employees

Excitement filled the air at the Fonterra Philippines office as employees awaited the official launch of the People’s Room.
Fonterra Brands Philippines General Manager Mike Boness, together with the leadership team, kicked off the event in a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The People’s Room is part of the Fonterra effort to create a workplace that is both productive and enjoyable, to provide our local team with a space to relax and get together amidst the daily pressures of the job. Spacious, modern and bursting with colour, the room is another venue where we bring to life our purpose to grow and enjoy life through dairy nutrition.
The People’s Room is a place where Fonterra employees can get together, conduct team engagement activities, celebrate quick wins, and hold informal conversations to help them re-energise and refocus.
During the launch, we asked employees to set guidelines for using the People’s Room, which helped us to create shared accountability for using and maintaining the room.
Our very own Technical Manager Chef Chris Paredes also prepared delicious snacks made from our very own Anchor products.
At the heart of this People’s Room initiative is not just a place of fun and games but a place where our Fonterra values and purpose are brought to life. It represents who we truly are as #JuanFonterra – dynamic, diverse, out-of-the-box, highly involved and very caring – promoting quality of work and life for everyone.
