Fonterra Philippines opens new office
Around 110 employees in the Philippines across ingredients, consumer brands and foodservice have moved into Fonterra’s new Manila office in the city’s business hub.
Opened at a ribbon-cutting ceremony in May, the office is an extension of the New Zealand Fanshawe Street headquarters where the activity-based working approach is set to establish more collaborative and efficient ways of working.
Guests of honour at the event included New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines David Strachan, New Zealand Trade Commissioner Hernando Banal, and Fonterra Brands Managing Director Thailand-Indochina-Philippines Paul Richards.
Fonterra Brands Philippines General Manager Mike Boness says this office is an important milestone for the business, as it looks to grow its footprint in this market which is seeing emerging affluence.
“Building on the transformational journey we began a few years ago, this open plan office will help us to develop a stronger culture where we continue to live our values and put in place improved ways of working to deliver our strategy. The office also enables space to grow as we fulfil our business and people ambition.
“I’m pleased to embark on this journey as ‘one Fonterra’, where the consumer brands and ingredients teams operate within the one office. The new office also comes with a brand new foodservice kitchen which was built in line with our Anchor Food Professionals strategy to grow our channel expertise with customers,” Mike adds.
Fonterra has been in the Philippines for 36 years, and has demonstrated significant volume growth across its ingredients, consumer and foodservice business, covering global accounts to regional and local champions last financial year.
