Fonterra Milk for Schools

Heading

Every school day, around 140,000 Kiwi kids across the country are slurping back Anchor milk thanks to Fonterra Milk for Schools.

To kick off this year’s programme, we asked you to nominate someone you’d like to share the goodness of milk with along with Richie McCaw. We’ve received lots of awesome nominations from around New Zealand. There are some amazing Aunties, Rugby Coaches, Caretakers and Grandmas out there.

Have a look at the videos below to see what happened when Richie went and shared a special milk moment with some of these people at three lucky schools.

In which Richie meets a local superhero.

For our last school visit Richie finally came to Auckland where he went to Willowbank School in Dannemora.  Jack, a year 4 pupil at the school, nominated local dairy owner Raju Patel who is well known in the community for dressing up as a superhero to surprise sick children at Starship and Kidz First hospitals.  It’s fair to say Raju got quite a surprise when Richie and Jack came to pick him up for a special milk moment at the school.

Richie heads south to Mossburn School.

We sent Richie down to Mossburn to surprise local hero Jim Guyton.  Jim was nominated one of the local kids, Jake, who rides on Jim’s school bus run every day.  Have a look at the video to see what happened when Richie caught up with Jim.

Our first school visit to Rangikura Primary.

Blanche, who is Tane’s teacher’s aide got a huge surprise when Riche McCaw came into class this week.  Tane had nominated her to say thank you for all the help she gives him each day.  Check out the video to see what happened – we all think it’s pretty cute.
