Fonterra Alumni 2012 - 2013

After completing his Bachelor of Agriculture degree from Massey University in 1985, Terence embarked on a dairy farming career which has progressed to ownership of two dairy farms in Northland.

Between 2008-2017 Terence served on the Fonterra Shareholders’ Council, a nationally-elected body which represents Fonterra farmers, communicates their interests and views to the Co-operative’s Board and plays an active role in monitoring the performance of Fonterra.

During this time Terence completed the Kellogg Rural Leadership Programme.

Terence continues to be an advocate for the Northland community and wider dairy industry. He is the Chair of the Northland Dairy Development Trust, which drives and manages dairy research in Northland, and he acts as a dairy industry advisor to the Northland Regional Council, which has included being the Chair of the Effluent Management Subcommittee.
