Debbie is a full time professional director with a portfolio of governance roles in the tourism, primary industry, financial services and local government sectors.

She is a Director of Tourism Holdings Ltd, Ruapehu Alpine Lifts Ltd, White Island Tours Ltd, Ngati Awa Group Holdings Ltd and the Local Government NZ Independent Assessment Board, and Chair of Taupo Moana Group Ltd and Crown Irrigation Investment Ltd.

Debbie is also a Trustee of Wellington Free Ambulance Trust and Raukawa ki te Tonga Trust.  

She has held governance roles for the last eight years for both Crown owned entities and Te Tumu Paeroa businesses, where for five years she was GM Investments, leading the organisation’s investment strategy to optimise Māori land and assets by investing directly in land based activities.

She is an experienced chair of investment committees as well as a member of several audit & risk committees.

Debbie has over 30 years of financial markets experience including managing large investment portfolios in Asia for global banks. She also owned and managed her own investment fund in Australia before returning to NZ in 2003.

Her interests are in promoting regional growth opportunities alongside building balanced investment portfolios for Māori/iwi entities.
