Adrian Gault has a long-term commitment to farming and horticulture and is particularly passionate about the biosecurity, coolstores and operations of the kiwifruit industry.

He is currently the Chair of Kiwifruit Vine Health, Eastpack Ltd and Kiwifruit Equities Ltd. Adrian is also Chair of Opotiki Veterinary Services and Managing Director of Otara Land Company Ltd, a 400 hectare sheep and beef unit and 25 canopy hectare kiwifruit business.

As well as governance experience, Adrian has been involved in representation, serving on the Opotiki District Council as a Councillor between 2001-2007. He has also held various roles within Federated Farmers from 2001-2009.

In 2001 Adrian was a Nuffield Scholar researching Genetic Engineering (GE) and whether New Zealand should allow the use of GE technology or not. As part of the Nuffield experience, he visited Asia, America, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe to meet with farming leaders, politicians, consultants and management of leading agricultural industries to form a view around the debate.

Adrian holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from Massey University and is a member of the Institute of Directors.
