Sri Lankan students visit a farm for a hands on experience

Sharing the Anchor story with Sri Lankan students

We recently hosted 21 students from Colombo, Sri Lanka on a farm owned by Fonterra farmer, Murray Shaw based in Karaka, Auckland. As part of a school Geography trip, for many this was the first time the students were in New Zealand and on farm.

The students were able to get up close and personal with the cows and the milking shed to learn more about where their favourite Anchor products in Sri Lanka come from.

It was a real eye-opener as they were able to see how New Zealand farmers looked after their cows and how they were milked (not by hand!) - they also learned how Fonterra farmers were able to produce high-quality milk, and how  they were able to enjoy on the other side of the world.
