Meet Our People
Meet Samuel Adeyinka
Integrated Work System, Maintenance Lead, Eltham
I started at Fonterra as a summer student working on research projects and then took a role as maintenance lead on the completion of my degree. I’ve had the opportunity to work at 3 different sites including Whareroa, Pahiatua and now Collingwood St.
The culture that is fostered by Fonterra is what attracted me. There is a strong focus on development whether individually or as a company. I have developed a great range of skill sets and each day is different.
The scope of work as an IWS maintenance lead is to keep challenging boundaries – it’s a perfect example of how we live and breathe our values here at Fonterra.
At Eltham we challenged time taken for planned maintenance on the line and implemented a pitstop mentality. This meant less time during planned maintenance creating an opportunity for more productivity.
Adding value to the line in this way is what makes me feel most accomplished in my role.
Meet Deidre Richardson
Process Lead IWS
My role entails analysing data on a daily, weekly and 3 monthly basis. Every day we face different challenges but it’s being able to share results with operators, lead ops and team leaders that is hugely rewarding.
Showing the team the improvements we are making from the changes in our day to day work and how these are reflected in our process becoming more efficient and in turn a more enjoyable and less reactive place to work.
We’re implementing IWS around the country...
Here’s a taste of the places you may work and the sites we’re currently recruiting for.
One of the key advantages of our Canpac site is its central location in the heart of the Waikato. With nine other sites, London and Fanshawe Street offices with a 1.5 hours drive. This gives exposure to a huge number of personnel along with a very diverse range of products.
The Canpac site is located close to Hamilton city and has the advantage of the beautiful Te Awa Cycleway nearby running alongside the mighty Waikato River.
Being in the centre of the Waikato, Hamilton provides excellent options for activities outside of work hours. The sporting facilities at top notch - the Waikato Stadium and new cycling velodrome to name but a few.
Lake Karapiro offers world renowned rowing facilities and is well known for being a great place to water-ski. There are also parks, cycleways and bush walks, and we're only 40 mins to the Westcoast beaches or an hour and a half to Tauranga and Mt Maunganui.
If you’re into something a little more High Octane, within an hour you can find yourself at the Huntly Speedway track, Meremere Dragway or Hampton Downs race circuit. With so many options – the Waikato is a great place to live and work.
