Tip Top is like my second home. When I first started here I was just 16 and I worked afternoon shift as a temp. It was great as I still got to see my friends on the weekend, and I enjoyed sleeping in!
When a wrapper operator role came up my manager encouraged me to apply - it was great to know someone believed in me. I had to challenge myself to go out of my comfort zone, to talk to the engineers and management if there were issues on my machine.
I then moved onto a day shift role so I could help with SAP support, this lead to an opportunity to go to Australia for 6 weeks to work at the Dennington Powder Plant when they went live with SAP. Back in NZ at Tip Top, I became the go-to person for SAP in production.
I moved into vendor supplies approvals and had the chance to work with master data and finance. 17 years on, I’m now the factory co-ordinator.
What’s kept me here? It’s a great team, the work changes every day, and if you're willing to learn there is not much that you cant do.
