Marcus Peacock

Marcus is a strong believer in New Zealand’s primary industries and very committed and determined to ensure local communities and environments prosper and remain sustainable for future generations.

Marcus worked in the financial markets in Wellington for ICAP from 1995-2005 and is now a Director and owner of Hononga Farming Ltd, a fourth generation, 600h hectare sheep and beef farm outside of Waipukurau, finishing up to 7200 stock units per year.


Marcus plays a very active role in local community governance. Previously Chair of the Waipukurau School Board of Trustees, he’s currently an elected Trustee of Centralines (the local consumer owned and operated electricity lines business), a Trustee of the Central Hawke’s Bay Community Trust and Co-Chair of the East Coast Rabobank Client Council.

Marcus is a graduate of Otago University, holding a Bachelor of Arts. He has completed the Agriculture Leadership programme in 2010 and the Fonterra Governance Development Programme 2016/2017.
