Riverina Fresh Full Cream Milk receives Australian Grand Dairy Accolade

Riverina Fresh has outshone the competition and is the recipient of a prestigious Australian Grand Dairy award for its Full Cream Milk, announced yesterday afternoon in Melbourne.

Riverina Fresh is an iconic brand from the Riverina region launched in 1992, its heritage dating back to when Fonterra’s Wagga Wagga factory opened in 1952. Contested by a record 413 entries this year, an Australian Grand Dairy Award represents quality, excellence and innovation in Australian dairy produce, recognising only the ‘best of the best’.

Peter Tedesco, Managing Director Fonterra Brands Australia said the accolade confirmed why Riverina Fresh is the preferred milk of baristas across New South Wales and Victoria.

“Given the popularity of Riverina Fresh in the Riverina region, it is no surprise it holds a strong and growing presence in Sydney and Melbourne as well,” he said. “Traditionally Riverina Fresh products have only been sold in this region, however in recent times we have moved into complementary markets, and now the majority of our Riverina Fresh dairy products are sold in Sydney and Melbourne.

“The brand is renowned for its high frothing properties, which makes it the milk of choice in cafes and foodservice outlets.
“The growth and success of the business would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our staff at Wagga Wagga, and I would like to congratulate them for this fantastic achievement.

“Thanks must also go to our milk suppliers who consistently provide us with the high quality milk essential to the production of these great products,” said Mr Tedesco.
