New Zealand dairy products have been an important source of nutrition for Filipinos since 1981 when we first began working with local distributors, to market and provide a range of products including Anchor powdered milk and other chilled dairy goods.

Anchor’s nutrition credentials are provided by the Anchor Institute, an international network of dairy and nutritional experts that conducts and supports dairy nutrition research to improve the health of families around the world. Anlene – Expert in Bone Nutrition
Born in Asia in 1991, Anlene is now the market-leading brand in the fight against the crippling disease of osteoporosis. Anlene’s mission is to raise awareness of osteoporosis so people can take steps to prevent it through better nutrition and exercise.
Backed by US$50 million of bone health research, Anlene is complete with essential nutrients such as calcium (more than in regular fresh milk), milk protein, vitamin D, magnesium and zinc.
As the only milk drink clinically proven to reduce bone loss, Anlene’s range of products include milk powder, liquid milk (UHT and pasteurized), yogurt, soy milk and malted powder.

Anmum
Anmum offers a full range of dairy products to meet the nutritional needs of mothers and babies. Whether the woman is pregnant, breastfeeding, or looking for nutritional options for her baby or young child, Anmum offers a high quality option. Backed by rigorous scientific research, Anmum products are formulated with essential nutrients such as Folate, Gangliosides (GA), Sialic Acid (SA), Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA), Essential Fatty Acids (EFA) and Iron, which are all scientifically proven to play a role in the brain development of infants and children.

Our Operations
In the Philippines, our total operations are 157-employee strong with a head office in Quezon City and a central warehouse in Pasig City. Our Cyber One Tower head office in Quezon City employs around 60 employees, 11 in the warehouse and all others are based in the field, across the country.
Over 80 different products are available locally, 25 of which are locally manufactured by four dedicated third party manufacturers and co-packers who work with the company in order to fulfil the demand for our products.
Our Foodservice business, supplying to hotels, restaurants, caterers, industrial and quick serve accounts, has been continuously growing as Fonterra becomes the product of choice because of its value and quality. Our products are used nationwide by more than 680 accounts in over 2350 outlets and counting. The chilled business has now expanded into cheeses and creams, with Anchor Butter still as its hero product.
Partnering with 28 distributors and directly servicing 27 key customers in the retail channel, we work with over 500,000 outlets throughout the country to ensure only the freshest and highest quality products are delivered to consumers.
To date, Fonterra continues its tradition of responsible retail, making a real difference in the Filipino people’s quality of life as an expert in dairy.
Our commitment to the community
Community engagement is very important to Fonterra in the Philippines. Across three of our key brands, we have initiated programmes designed to improve the life of the Filipino consumer.
We support Filipino customers with free nutrition counselling programmes through the Anchor Nutrition Clinic to provide insights to mothers on their children’s nutritional health, muscles, bones and fat make-up. This is how Anchor continues its goal of providing “proven nutrition” to consumers.
The Anmum team works to provide extensive information on maternal and pediatric health to doctors and consumers alike. Since its launch in 1997, Anmum continues to reign supreme in the Philippines’ maternal milk category with its position as “My Maternal Partner”.
For adults, our Anlene brand’s active bone scanning programme has scanned the bones of hundreds of thousands of Filipinos each year, free of charge, and this continues to be an important activity for the company in helping communities across the Philippines.
