Milk is an important building block to a healthy life. Our primary school years are the formative years of growth and development and we all want every Kiwi kid to have the best nutritional start. Milk is filled with vitamins and minerals that children need for sustained growth and to support energy, concentration and learning in the classroom.
From 14 May 2013, delicious dairy nutrition from Fonterra Milk for Schools is making
its way around the country as we roll out our programme to give all New
Zealand primary-aged children free milk at school.
The programme offers Year 1 to 6 students a free serve of Anchor milk every school day, and provides schools with fridges to chill the milk and delivery as well as collection of used packages for recycling.
Following our successful Northland pilot, we’re rolling out Fonterra Milk for Schools, region-by-region, with the
milk now flowing into Southland schools. We’re then moving through the
country during the year, with all schools who wish to take part on board
by the end of Term 1, 2014.
