Biyagama Powder Plant
A centre for milk powder blending and packing in Sri Lanka, our Biyagama Powder Plant employs more than 250 local Sri Lankan staff and packs about 475,000 packs of milk powder every day.
Built in 1995, our Powder Plant produces a range of products for some of Sri Lanka’s favourite dairy brands including Anchor, Ratthi, Anlene, and Pediapro.
With nine filling machines working around the clock, the plant packs and blends 5270 metric tonnes of milk powder every month.
The plant’s nine filling machines pack product into a range of different packaging types including bag-in–a-box, sachets, and chain bags.
Committed to quality, our dedicated team follows strict guidelines to ensure we’re always producing the highest quality dairy products. Our plant is also regularly audited to ensure Fonterra’s stringent global quality standards are upheld at every step.
